Comedy Central has posted the red-band trailer for Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck which is written by and starring comedian Amy Schumer.
It also c0-stars Apatow favorite and SNL alumni Bill Hader along with cameos from sports stars like LeBron James and wrestler John Cena. The latter might have been a tease to Amy’s own personal history dating dudes from the WWE.
In my opinion Apatow hasn’t really made a laugh-out-loud comedy since Knocked-Up and it’s about time he had another person help write his films. Amy actually wrote the script on her own before Judd got involved with the project as producer and eventual director. Schumer’s raunchy material seemingly fits perfectly with Apatow’s style so it could be an excellent parring.
Trainwreck is set for release on July 17th, 2015.
