Remember That ‘Doctor Strange’ and ‘Spider-Man’ Crossover Rumor?; Tom Holland Visits ‘Strange’ Set

Dec 16, 2015

Marvel producer Louis D’Esposito has been tweeting out set photos from the UK stages of Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch. A new image shows Spider-Man actor Tom Holland with Louis and Scott, who might have been there as new member of the Marvel family giving his support.

However, there had been a report from Birth.Movies.Death that Spider-Man would be appearing in Doctor Strange, and this set visit seemingly might refuel that rumor.

Spidey will be appearing in other Marvel movies first (we all expect him in Captain America: Civil War, but I’ve been told he will ALSO show up in Doctor Strange. We’ll see!).

The two New York based superheroes are known for their team-up in the comics, and while his limited role in Captain America: Civil War will be nice, it’s been scaled down from what Marvel originally wanted. Their pairing in their solo films seems a bit more believable due to their comic book history together both being creations of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, and Spidey being the big crossover hero.

Holland hanging around the set gives this rumor a bit more weight.
