On Thursday the 23rd of June 2022, the Red Carpet World Premiere for Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder, their most recent silver screen foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in May, took place in Hollywood.
The film, which sees Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and (director) Taika Waititi all reprise their roles as Thor Odinson, Jane Foster/Thor, (the now King) Valkyrie and Korg, respectively, face off against the god-butchering Gorr as he continues his rampage across the universe massacring gods for their indolence and hedonistic lifestyles (represented through the actions of gods like Falligar the Behemoth (whose corpse lies dormant in a comic-accurate recreation of a panel from Thor: God of Thunder #3 (December 2012) in the official teaser for the film) and Zeus (played by Russell Crowe) and the other gods and Celestials who reside in Omnipotence City). The film releases July 8th, 2022 exclusively in theatres. Read on for the details and tidbits revealed at the antecedent event.
