Thanks to EWin for providing GWW with this review unit.

  • Attractive
  • Comfortable
  • Worth every penny

EWin’s Calling series ergonomic gaming chair is incredible. It’s easy to assemble, attractive and extraordinarily comfortable. I haven’t reviewed other gaming chairs, so…I want feedback! You can tweet me or message me on our Discord server.

The Good

When I first sat in this EWin chair, I was blown away. In the past, I’ve spent as much as $350 on office chairs and I’ve never found one that I would describe as comfortable. They’ve always been “fine”. In fact, I spend most of my working day standing up, working on a desk with an adjustable height. I’ve found myself spending more time sitting because of this chair. It’s great to be comfortable while sitting but I’ve had to remind myself to stand while working because that’s healthier! Anyhow, let’s start at the top. This chair came in a giant box and in several pieces, as you’ll see in my unboxing video below. But assembly time was fewer than 30 minutes. It was straightforward and all the tools you’ll need are included, such as two different allen wrenches. When I first sat in the chair, I did a couple of minor adjustments. I like to rest my left arm on the armrest while typing and keep my right arm free. So I adjusted the armrests accordingly with a simple pull on the toggle just below the armrest. It’s a one-handed action. I also adjusted the height of the chair by pulling the lever that is just below the seat on the right side. All adjustments were easy to make and they don’t feel like they’ll wear out any time soon. The only adjustment I did not make, which is available, is to recline the back portion of the chair. That is also a simple lever pull on the right side of the chair along the base. Finally, the last adjustment you can make is the tilt control of the base. Again, there is a dedicated lever for this. EWin uses a combination of steel and high density memory foam to create this comfortable experience.

The Bad

One thing: I do wish the armrests were leather wrapped.

It’s easy to assemble, attractive and extraordinarily comfortable.

Who is this For?

The retail price of this specific model is $359, and it’s available directly from Ewin’s website. You can get a discount using our link, which makes it more digestible on your wallet. As I wrote above, I’ve spent a lot of money on chairs in an effort to find something that is really comfortable. I do believe the level of comfort varies by the individual. Therefore, if you spend $300+ on this chair and you don’t like it, you’re going to regret it. To some degree, that is true with everything you purchase. But returning a chair you’ve assembled and ordered online is not a fun situation.
