While Ridley Scott is seemingly prepping his Disney fantasy film Merlin Saga, some news recently broke about a new science fiction television project he’ll be directing for TNT.
TV Line has the official word from TNT that Scott will make his TV debut on the android/off-world colony series Raised By Wolves.
Sci-fi film auteur Ridley Scott will executive-produce as well as make his television directing debut with Raised by Wolves, a serialized drama which has landed a series order from TNT.
Raised by Wolves centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.
This sort of sounds like the material he had planned on exploring in future Alien films, pivoting to androids rather than the xenomorphs.
Raised By Wolves will see Prisoners screenwriter Aaron Guzikowski will act as the series’ showrunner.
