Today, Variety announced that RED and Divergent director Robert Schwentke has been tapped to helm the upcoming G.I.Joe spin-off movie Snake Eyes. The upcoming prequel is supposed to follow the silent warrior Snake Eyes as he tries to join the ranks of the ninja clan the Arashikage. In the comics, Snake Eyes has a half-brother Storm Shadow who is his sworn enemy. The screenplay was written by Beauty and the Beast writer Evan Spiliotopoulos.
Snake Eyes is currently without an official release date.
