Rosario Dawson Teases A Desire To Play Ahsoka Tano In A ‘Star Wars’ Movie

Feb 9, 2017

Star Wars fans have been feeling let down with the casting choices of Lucasfilm to only hire white brunette British actresses for their major roles. Even though, with the Han Solo female lead role that went to Emilia Clarke had a majority of women of color reportedly auditioning for it.

If Rosario Dawson (Sin City, Daredevil, Luke Cage) has anything to say about it that would change with her landing a Star Wars universe role. As suggested by a fan on Twitter. She’d like a shot to play a fan-favorite role from the Clone Wars and Rebels.

That being Jedi Ahsoka Tano.

Dawson is already part of the Disney family via her Marvel Television role on a majority of the Netflix shows. Making her jump to Star Wars slightly more plausible than other actors.

Ahsoka showing up eventually wouldn’t be terribly shocking as Lucasfilm threw Clone Wars’ Saw Gerrera into Rogue One but his scenes were drastically scaled-back during editing and reshoots. However, Forest Whitaker has recently reprised the role on Rebels.

It all depends on when and where Lucasfilm would want to use Ahsoka. Will we see her get her own anthology film down the road, take a supporting role in a Kenobi movie or potentially a Rebels (established in film canon via Rogue One) live-action standalone film once the show wraps up?

Would you like to see Rosario Dawson play Ahsoka Tano and should she join the cinematic universe?
