RUMOR: ‘Black Widow’ Eyeing Early 2019 Production Start and Could Film Partly In Croatia

Oct 26, 2018

It’s starting to sound like Scarlett Johansson’s solo Black Widow movie is further along than previously stated.

While we’ve been revealing that Marvel Studios has been hiring pre-production crew and casting is incoming. Our pals over at ThatHashtagShow have some rumblings concerning the film’s release date and when/where it could begin shooting. After the delays and new director search for Guardians 3, it looks like Widow will now take their spot as we assumed.

With production set to begin early in 2019, it’s very possible Black Widow is already in pre-production and we expect casting news to begin to leak before the end of the year!

We are told that Black Widow is looking to take advantage of the attractive production incentives available by filming in Croatia.

They also mention that Black Widow is likely to be released on May 1st, 2020.

However, Disney/Marvel have yet to confirm that Widow will be opening on that date, but there is a really good shot it will.
