Filming on Danny Boyle’s Bond 25 will officially take place on December 3rd at Pinewood Studios UK, as Daniel Craig is set to play James Bond one last time.
It looks like there might be some shakeups concerning the crew previously used by Sam Mendes on the last two movies and Danny Boyle might be using his own people.
It was expected that Skyfall and Spectre production designer Dennis Gassner (Blade Runner 2049) would be returning for Bond 25, but as Omega Underground recently pointed out he might be instead working on Neill Blomkamp‘s Greenland which stars Chris Evans and is set to shoot this October in Toronto.
This would likely mean he won’t be involved with Bond 25 and there could already be a replacement hired.
A new rumor suggests a potential replacement has been found according to art director Neal Callow at the 007 Elements event. As Mark Tildesley (Sunshine, 28 Days Later Phantom Thread, Trainspotting 2) is said to be taking over duties from Gassner.
Speaking of rumors, there is an Instagram post from trainer Giacomo Farci that could be suggesting that actor Mark Strong (Intimidation Game, Body of Lies, Kingsman, Zero Dark Thirty, Deep State, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) will have a part alongside longtime friend Daniel Craig in his final outting as 007 in Bond 25. Farci has since deleted the video (screenshot via ScreenRant).
If true, he could be either friend or foe as Strong has had a varied career playing both heroes and villains.
Mark previously worked with director Danny Boyle on his science fiction film Sunshine and with Daniel Craig on Our Friends In The North and Flashbacks of A Fool.
Bond 25 has been set for release on November 8th, 2019.
