A new casting rumor concerning Swamp Thing comes from our pals at SplashReport.
Derek Mears (Predators, Friday The 13th) will play the creature side of the character which would confirm that they’ll be going with a man-in-a-suit, over some CGI which likely wouldn’t look good due to the show’s budget.
They previously accurately revealed that Len Wiseman would direct the pilot, so there is a good chance this will pan-out.
Filming will take place in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Swamp Thing is expected to drop on a weekly basis on DC Universe in 2019 (there is talk of possible international release on Netflix).
