While the end of Iron Fist season one teed-up the return of Madame Gao and the debut of villain Steel Serpent, it looks like the series will be getting another Hand baddie.
ThatHashtagShow is reporting a breakdown for a character named Tayna Parker, which is most likely a version of Tanya Adrian aka Lady Gorgon. A a newer assassin with ties to The Hand that was introduced in Punisher comic books.
[TANYA PARKER](late-20’s, open ethnicity) As a freelance covert operative, Tanya has carried out many high-level missions. A chameleon adept at playing roles, Tanya inhabits the “part” that best fits the mission. SERIES REGULAR
The Gorgon name is linked to Tomi Shishido, a powerful leader of the Hand. Gorgon is a well established Hand villain who has crossed paths with Wolverine, Elektra, and Shang-Chi. We suspect there is a good chance we could see both Shishido and Shang-Chi setup in this second season since the martial arts aspect to the show, the latter had been rumored as possible addition a while back.
There is some expectations that with showrunner Scott Buck removed from the show that things can only get better.
Iron Fist is about to shooting in New York, so Marvel Television will be dropping casting additions soon.
