While Disney’s Bob Iger recently name-dropped Kingsman as one of the franchises they were interested in continuing, it looks like 20th Century Fox could move on with the third movie before the merger actually kicks-in next summer.
A new rumor coming from our friends at ThatHashtagShow suggests not only that Kingsman 3 is being eyed for a production start in January of next year in the UK, but it could help setup a prequel film titled Kingsman: The Great Game, focusing on the early days of the secret group. They also state that director Matthew Vaughn and writing partner Jane Goldman have already penned a script.
20th Century Fox has yet to even confirm a third movie is happening let along this prequel, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for any further information. Despite chatter from writer-director Matthew Vaughn that he was keen on moving forward with Kingsman 3.
