It was recently confirmed by producer Jon Landu and actress Sigourney Weaver that performance capture/principal photography on the first two Avatar sequels has completed.
They are now said to be getting ready to shoot the next two.
Today, the BBC might have uncovered the titles to all four of the sequels which might give some insight into what the other three sequels could be about (Avatar 2 will focus on the oceans).
The rumored titles are as follows.
Avatar: The Way of Water
Avatar: The Seed Bearer
Avatar: The Tulkun Rider
Avatar: The Quest for Eywa
However, even BBC’s headline on the article seems to be skeptical about the authenticity and they do fail to cite confirmation from the studio. Even though, this is coming from the BBC we are going to consider this as a rumor for the moment.
Avatar 2 aka Avatar: The Way of Water is still set for release on December 18th, 2020.
