RUMOR: Universal Pictures ‘The Bride of Frankenstein’ Synopsis Revealed?!

Apr 21, 2017

While Universal Pictures is ramping up marketing for their first Classic Monsters film The Mummy; they are also hard at work on a slew of other films set within the same cinematic universe. All of the films will be modern takes on the classic horror monsters from the studio. This includes Dracula, Van Helsing, The Wolfman, The Invisible Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Bride of Frankenstein.

Now we at Omega Underground have come across production listing for The Bride of Frankenstein. While the listing doesn’t mention any shoot dates or locations (something we will update once it becomes available). However, the listing does provide a small synopsis for the film which confirms the film will be set in modern-day:

The story is set in contemporary New York, is centered on a young woman attending college. After being haunted by someone else’s memories, she gradually discovers that she died and was then unnaturally brought back to life.

Now again this extremely early plot synopsis are usually basic and just placeholders until the studio releases a full plot. But while w e would still consider this a rumor this does sound pretty conniving. Angelina Jolie was once rumored for the role but it’s unknown if she is still up for it. Javier Bardem has signed on to play Frankenstein’s Monster in the cinematic universe.

The Bride of Frankenstein has no set release date
