RUMOR: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Looking To Add Antonio Banderas As Villain

Nov 13, 2018

A new casting rumor for the upcoming third season of HBO’s Westworld could see Antonio Banderas join the series.

Coming from our friends over at ThatHashtagShow, the report says that HBO is eyeing Banderas to play a villain.

We have learned that HBO has interest in veteran actor Antonio Banderas for a regular role in Westworld’sthird season. Details on the role are being kept under wraps but we can tell you the role is for the show’s villain, and is said to be in the same vein as Javier Bardem’s character in Skyfall.

This could be a big get for the series known for landing veteran actors.

I have yet to catch up on season two but I might have to soon.

Based on the 1973 film, Westworld follows the existence of a violent amusement park for the rich, scattered with androids that are programmed to not harm humans. The rich pay to role-play in that park, and the androids get there memory wiped after each “session,” but some androids start to remember the horrible things the humans did to them and start to rebel…

HBO is expected to start airing new episodes of Westworld sometime next year.
