Ryan Reynolds and his production company are looking to bring back to the screen a reboot of a cult classic film and hopefully, give it new life.
According to Deadline, actor Ryan Reynolds has signed a three-year, first-look deal with 20th Century Fox for his Maximum Effort production company. Not one to take an opportunity for granted, Reynolds has decided that the first project that he and his company will develop for the studio will be a reboot of the cult classic comedy Clue, based on the board game.
The original film starred an eclectic group of comedy superstars including Martin Mull, Madeline Khan, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean and an unforgettable performance by Tim Curry.
In order to bring his vision of a new Clue film to the big screen, Reynolds has enlisted the writers of both Deadpool films Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. A deal is not in place yet for their services, but they are in talks to write the script with Reynolds both producing and starring in the film.
Reynolds can next be seen in Deadpool 2 and will star in the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie.
