Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’ Shoots In New York and Florida This August

Martin Scorsese‘s The Irishman made some waves recently when it was revealed that Netflix would be distributing the gangster picture. It focuses on a notorious mob hitman who reveals that he may have been connected to the disappearance of Union leader Jimmy Hoffa and multiple other mob murders.

The impressive cast includes Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Bobby Cannavale, Harvey Keitel, and possibly Joe Pesci.

Its production start date is August 21st (shooting month previously reported by outlets) with shooting taking place in New York City and undisclosed locations in the state of Flordia. A wrap date hasn’t been revealed but it’s expected to get penciled-in once filming begins.

The Irishman doesn’t have a release date but it’s expected to be released sometime in 2019 on Netflix.
