Today, writer-director Shane Black and The Predator cast attended the only Fox movie panel at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H, they are excluding their X-Men films [yet again] and doing an offsite event for Alita: Battle Angel.
An interesting tidbit shared by Shane Black during the panel suggests the movie is slightly influenced by the Lee Marvin outcast character classic The Dirty Dozen.
Calling them the “dirty half dozen”.

The WWII action flick has a group of American soldiers turned prisoners tasked on a suicide mission. We know that Shane is a cinema fan, so it was always expected to take inspiration from things outside of action films.
The official Twitter account also posted the new Comic-Con poster along with a badass new image of a predator on a ship.
The Predator is set for release on September 14th.
