MMA fighter Conor McGregor seemingly almost had a role in The Predator as he mentioned in an interview with An Experience With as spotted by our friends over at AVP Galaxy.
Not enough. We went back and forth negotiating and the number climbed up but if I was to do it would mean eight weeks in Canada, in Toronto or somewhere. It’s too long a time. You can’t do a million things at once. The Pegasus thing was one thing because it was like three days, in and out. But seven, eight weeks on a film set is heavy as fuck. Plus it would have crept in around when he’s due. I didn’t want to get tricky with that so I turned down that offer.”
McGregor seems to have been confused what his actual role would have been stating he would be the “main guy” something that Shane Black is refuting.
Director Shane Black chimed in as well recently on his Twitter account (confirmed via his AMA on Reddit last year) revealing that Conor wasn’t being offered a leading role in the film despite his comments.
CONOR McGREGOR: great guy, nice as can be — NOT, however, offered the male lead. Boyd Holbrook holds that distinction. Just sayin’.

The cast is already impressive as it could get with Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, and Jacob Tremblay.
Production will take place this February in Vancouver with its release date slated for February 9th, 2018.
