Singer Beyonce In Talks To Voice Nala in ‘The Lion King’ Remake

While most of the week was turned to what news was coming out of Las Vegas’s CinemaCon. Variety dropped an exclusive that superstar singer Beyonce has entered talks to voice Nala in Disney’s upcoming Lion King live-action remake.  The report stresses that Beyonce has yet to make an official decision yet given she is currently pregnant with twins. However, she is director Jon Favreau’s top choice as well as the studio. That they will do everything in their power to accommodate her and her scheduling.

Currently, only two cast members confirmed for the film is Donald Glover (Han Solo) who will voice Simba and the return of James Earl Jones as the mighty Mufasa. This wouldn’t be Beyonce’s first film as she voiced the lead in Epic. And even starred in 2002’s Austin Powers Goldmember. The film is expected to be fast t racked into production. Lastly, during the Walt Disney panel at CinemaCon, they released images of their upcoming slate with an “untitled live-action” slated to be released in Summer 2018. Don’t be surprised if this is for The Lion King.
