‘Spider-Man 2’ Continues To Assemble Crew With ‘Logan’ and ‘Planet of The Apes’ VFX Supervisor

Apr 7, 2018

Production on the untitled second MCU Spider-Man film is expected to begin filming next month and Jon Watts is quickly putting together his team.

Omega Underground has learned that Logan and Dawn of The Planet of The Apes visual effect supervisor Berj Bannayan will be working on the sequel in that compacity.

We also have an update on Hannah Beachler (Black Panther) as the flim’s production designer, as we got in touch with her and that’s not the case. Actually, she’ll be working on something else and other people have been hired. Mistakes can be made from time-to-time.

It’s looking like Oliver Scholl (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Venom) and Loren Weeks (Defenders, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Jessica Jones) will be the duo tackling production design instead.

Locations include UK, NYC, Prague, and Venice.

While it’s unconfirmed we are hearing that some scenes could be filmed stateside in Chicago, Illinois. This might be the more location shooting intense Marvel production we’ve seen.

The next big step will be casting new roles which could give us some plot hints and possibly reveal the villains.

There is expectation the sequel will build upon the Peter/Ned relationship and spend time in Europe.

Spider-Man is set for release on July 5th, 2019.
