Overview
Spotify could start providing podcasters with a synthetic version of their voice for advertising use. By using the same technology that underlies its AI DJ, reportedly released in February, hosts could use voice clones to skip reading ad copy while still lending their voice to sponsored audio content. The synthetic versions of podcasters’ voices could add geo-targeted pitches and translations into other languages. While the plan has not been confirmed, Spotify’s head of cultural partnerships and host of its morning show, Xavier “X” Jernigan, served as the model for the AI DJ.
