Today, Variety announced that Star Trek Into Darkness star Alice Eve has joined the cast of Iron Fist season 2. Her role is being kept under wraps upon which Marvel character she is playing. Finn Jones will be returning to play Danny Rand along with Jessica Henwick returning as his love interest Colleen Wing. We also recently found out that Simone Missick will also join the cast as Misty Knight from Luke Cage.
TV head Jeph Loeb talks about Alice Eve’s casting:
“We are very excited to have an actress of Alice’s stature join the cast of ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist, Her exceptional talent brings an intrigue and danger to her character unlike anyone else.”
To many fans glee, Raven Metzner has taken over as showrunner from Scott Buck (Marvel’s Inhumans). Filming was expected to begin later this month.
