‘The Haunting of Hill House’ star Henry Thomas has joined DC’s ‘Stargirl’ as the Golden Age Justice Society member Dr. Mid-Nite.
The role will be a recurring one for Thomas, who is joining Brian Stapf, Joel McHale, and Lou Ferrigno Jr. as the fourth Justice Society member.
Known for being the team doctor, as well as being a talented detective, Dr. Charles McNider fights crime with his pet owl. He is one of the founding JSA members, so it comes as no shock that he would be in this show.
Aside from ‘The Haunting of Hill House,’ Thomas also played Elliot in Steven Spielberg’s ‘E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial’ and had a leading role in Martin Scorsese’s ‘Gangs of New York.’
‘Stargirl’ hails from Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter. The show follows high school student Courtney Whitmore as she takes up the mantle of Stargirl to reassemble the Justice Society to fight villains of the past.
The series will premiere in August of 2019.
