While Will Patton is playing the main villain in ‘Swamp Thing,’ it seems DC is already planting the seeds for more antagonists in later seasons.
That Hashtag Show revealed that ‘The Strain’ star Kevin Durand is in talks to play Jason Woodrue, aka The Floronic Man.
Woodrue was previously played by John Glover in ‘Batman and Robin,’ but he had yet to mutate. It’s unknown how large of a role Woodrue will play in the first season, but it’s a safe bet we will see a lot of him as the show goes on.
‘Swamp Thing’ hails from James Wan, Gary Dauberman, Mark Verheiden, Michael Clear, and Len Weisman. Weisman is directing the pilot with a script from Dauberman and Verheiden.
The show stars Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Will Patton, Jeryl Prescott, Jennifer Beals, and Virginia Madsen. It will premiere exclusively on DC Universe sometime in 2019.
