Taika Waititi has signed on to write and direct an unknown project for Fox Searchlight before returning to Marvel Studios for ‘Thor: Love and Thunder.’
Waititi broke out with writing and directing the hit Marvel film ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ in 2017. He will be taking on the much anticipated sequel with filming starting next August. Waititi also wrote and directed ‘Jojo Rabbit,’ which Fox Searchlight also collaborated on and is releasing October 18th, and directed an episode of the Disney+ Star Wars series ‘The Mandalorian,’ premiering November 12th. He was also attached to Netflix’s ‘Bubbles’ and Warner Bros.’ ‘Akira,’ before departing from both projects.
Additionally, the mystery project has been greenlit to shoot this fall. However, details about the film are being kept under wraps and there is no release date as of yet.
