Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dimension X #1
IDW Publishing

Written By: Paul Allor
Art By: Pablo Tunica

The Turtles are traveling through Dimension X to escort key witnesses in The Trial of Krang back to the palace for the trial. They track down an empathic being named B’een on a planet with “Emotion based physics” but unfortunately they are ambushed by Hakk-R who convinces B’een that they are the assassins, and he is there to rescue B’een. Will the Turtles be able to convince him otherwise?

This mini-series has a much more fun and lighthearted feel to it. These issues are just offshoots of the main book and continue from issue #73. It seems like these will be one-offs that aren’t required to keep up with the overall story arc going on in the main book, but a fun little extra thing.

I really enjoy Tunica’s art in this, it has a much more vibrant and cartoon-ish feel to it, and that works very well for this book. The landscapes and creatures of Dimension X are a little off, and this art fits perfectly, making everything a little more surreal and delightful.

If you’ve been keeping up with the main story, give this book a shot. It is a lot of fun.
