‘The Crow’ Adds ‘Girl In The Spider’s Web’ Costume Designer – Budapest Shoot Confirmed

May 19, 2018

Back in December, Omega Underground revealed that Sony’s The Crow reboot directed by Corin Hardy and starring Jason Momoa would shoot in Budapest, Hungary.

A locale previously used for Sony’s Blade Runner 2049.

Well, ahead of it’s expected start in July the director and newly confirmed costume designer Carlos Rosario (The Girl In The Spider’s Web) are in Budapest as prep for the comic book film is well underway via their Instagram accounts.

Confirming our reporting on the main production location being Budapest.

Also, in December we revealed key crew members which included production designer Alex Cameron, cinematographer Martijn van Broekhuizen and VFX supervisor Raymond Gieringer.

New additions include Rosario as costume designer and Simon Lamont as the supervising art director.

It remains to be seen if they’ll shoot on location in Detroit but we recently learned some scenes will be shot in Ireland.

Casting hasn’t been announced but we suspect that British actress Annabelle Wallis (Mummy, Peaky Blinders) has taken a role in the film.

Recent character breakdowns that leaked suggest that the rest of the cast should be announced with the next month.

Sony has given The Crow the release date of October 11th, 2019.
