A new villain emerges and his journey connects directly to the Flash’s past, present, and future.

Chris is a scientist living with his family in Central City when he first runs into Barry Allen, literally. That encounter will mirror an important event in the life of the speedster and allow Chris to get a glimpse of the inner workings of the multiverse.

Other encounters follow and when Chris and his family are caught in the middle of a fight between Flash and the Turtle, Chris is transported to another dimension where he will have to master time to escape. When he emerges changed, he decides that the cause of all the time problems is The Flash.

This is an entertaining and interesting story. I like the fact that Williamson devoted this issue to the origin and journey of Paradox because it actually makes him a sympathetic and compelling character. The dialogue is great and the narration makes the character more interesting and the story develops. It will be interesting to see how this story evolves.

Howard Porter does a great job with the art in this issue. With this issue being character-driven and focused, Porter does some great work with the characters themselves. They are all expressive and drawn beautifully with glorious details.
