We were extremely upset when David Fincher and Sony Pictures along with the cast of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo couldn’t come to an agreement concerning sequels. But Sony isn’t known to make the best creative discussions lately.
They’ve already decided to ignore the two other books in the series and are jumping directly into The Girl In The Spider’s Web instead. The soft-reboot is expected to be directed by Don’t Breathe’s Fede Alvarez with The Crown’s Claire Foy said to be the frontrunner for the new Lisbeth Salander.
Well, we now have an idea when it will begin filming as Omega Underground has spotted a production listing suggesting a January production start in Eastern Europe.
Omega Underground has heard that shooting locations for Spider’s Web will include Germany and Sweden.
Sony has given The Girl In The Spider’s Web the release date of October 19th, 2018.
