With December very nearly upon us, Shudder has released it’s lineup for Holiday Scares… I mean, Cheer, alongside acquiring new non-Holiday titles to it’s ever expanding collection of terror. But truly… you wanna know what Festive Scares they’re going to have right? Right. Because this is me writing this. The lover of horror.
Two new collections will be dropping next month, all about the scary side of this festive season. On November 30, “Unhappy Holidays” Collection will drop, which includes: “Blood Beat,” “Body,” “Rare Exports,” “Sheltan,” “Black Christmas,” “All the Creatures Were Stirring,” “Better Watch Out,” “Christmas Presence,” “Christmas Evil,” “A Christmas Horror Story,” “Deadly Games,” “Jack Frost,” “Red Christmas,” and “Silent Night, Deadly Night.” This collection will be available on Shudder US, Shudder Canada, and Shudder UK. The other collection, “Holly Gialli Christmas,” will drop on December 2, and is chock full of both classic and modern “Gialli” cinema, or as Shudder described it, “bloody murder, Italian Style.” This collection will be available on Shudder US, Shudder Canada, Shudder UK, and SHudder ANZ.
While there will be plenty of new “drops” throughout the month, Shudder is debuting two new specials, ready for the holidays. On December 11, at 9pm EST (in the US), “Joe Bob Saves Christmas” drops, which, if you can’t make the “The Last Drive-In” closing out the year with a “holiday horror” double feature on it’s premiere… don’t worry. It will be put on-demand on Sunday, December 13th. This special will also be available on Shudder Canada. The second special is “A Creepshow Holiday Special,” dropping on December 18th! The special will be an hour long, and is written and directed by Greg Nicotero. This special will also be available on Shudder Canada, Shudder UK, and Shudder ANZ.
