Our vision is to build a meaningful bond between metaverse and the physical world by anchoring real life memories and virtual assets to real world locations that are owned by people.
The concept is simple, but powerful. We often associate memories with a place – set and setting if you will. Accordingly, Metablox is a novel way to build on the advantages of Web3 without abandoning the physical world. This is not merely a place to upload photos for storage – rather a place, as they say, to store your most important memories for generations.
You are the owner…not Google, not Dropbox, etc. As a result, saving memories on the blockchain become permanent and completely under your control, at least as long as you own the Blox.
Technology of Metablox
Metablox is being constructed on Ethereum and Polygon. to ensure longevity (Ethereum) and keep gas fees low (Polygon). Once minted, NFTs will be interoperable with any platform that supports Polygon, such as Open Sea.
Metablox NFT Neighbor Types
There are four types of “Neighbor” archetypes the Metablox team anticipates participating on the platform, both individually and organizationally.

As a result of anticipating these different Neighbor types, the team is building mechanics into the system to keep it healthy for many decades. The main goal being to allow for participation by a wide variety of people.
Experience Design & Game Dynamics
With Yu-kai Chou co-piloting the ship, there’s a significant amount of game dynamics in the experience. Because the motivational influences are a part of the platform, driven by his Octalysis Framework, they are already paying dividends with an active Discord server.
