The New ‘Jumanji’ Movie Is A Sequel, Says The Rock

Aug 23, 2016

Here is some good news regarding the new Jumanji movie, it is not a dreaded reboot everyone thought it was going to be. Instead it’s a continuation of the story, just set twenty years later (Lets hope it won’t be as bad as another sequel that we waited twenty years for *cough* I’m looking at you Independence Day: Resurgence).

The Rock took to his Instagram account to announce the news about the new Jumanji film which he will co-star with alongside Kevin Hart and Jack Black.

Check out what the Peoples Champ had to say:

I’m down for anything The Rock is in, especially if he’s working with Kevin Hart again, they had me in tears with Central Intelligence. With this continuation of Jumanji story, I just hope they don’t make Jack Black, the Alan Parish character Robin Williams played in the 1995 original. I’d be fine if he played Peter Shepherd though, they wouldn’t need to spend much on make up to make Black look like this.

The untitled Jumanji sequel is set to hit screens July 28, 2017.
