‘The Raid’ Director Gareth Evans In Talks For ‘Deathstroke’ Movie

Oct 25, 2017

It seems every month we learn about a new DC Comics feature film heading into develop. Well, we have our newest project in the works.

The Wrap is reporting that The Raid and The Raid 2 director Gareth Evans is in talks to direct a solo film focused on DC villain turned anti-hero Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke.

Joe Manganiello was originally cast in the role but when The Batman script involving Slade was scrapped his future in the role was in question.

Like with many other DC projects we have no idea if this will ever see the light of day, I’m still waiting for WB’s Lobo movie a decade later.

It’ll be interesting if this could be their first attempt at an R-rated DC film, Evans had previously stated he wasn’t interested in making a restrictive action film with a PG-13 rating.
