We’ve only grazed the surface of Ezra Miller’s The Flash with the characters cameo’s in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. Next year though, we’ll see the speedster in full force as part of the Justice League in Zack Snyder’s DC superhero team up movie. The following year will see The Flash star in his own solo film as Warner Bros continue with their DC Extended Universe.
So far all we know about The Flash standalone movie is Dope director Rick Famuyiwa will helm the film with Ezra Miller returning to reprise his role as Barry Allen/Flash. Kiersey Clemons (Dope) joined the cast as Barry Allen’s best friend/love interest Iris West and Ray Fisher is reportedly going to appear as Cyborg. Now however comes news of who the films villains might be.
According to The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez, he revealed during a Periscope session that the Scarlet Speedster will go up against the super villain team The Rogues, however no other details on which members will make up the Rogues roster were revealed.

In the comics The Rogues are a group of criminals who are enemies with The Flash, the team of villains usually consist of Captain Cold, Mirror Master, Heat Wave, Weather Wizard, the Trickster, Pied Piper, the Top and Captain Boomerang. Most of these characters have appeared on the CW The Flash series, however they’ve never actually teamed up together. Could this be a reason why we’ve not seen them all together in the last two seasons of the show?
