I’ve just received a 4K slap to the face and it came in the form of the latest Just Cause 3 trailer from Avalanche Studios. Sure, looks aren’t everything, but seeing an already captivating game presented in 4K will do things to a person’s senses. Now I’m looking up gaming PCs. This could be dangerous.
In a statement, publisher Square Enix stated, “Avalanche Studios have been busy squeezing every last drop of power out of their proprietary engine for the upcoming release of Just Cause 3. The game can be seen firing on all cylinders, with all settings turned to overkill in this video running at a 4K resolution here.”

Just Cause 3‘s over-the-top gameplay won’t look quite as good on home consoles. Xbox One and PS4, in fact, will top out at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One. This trailer is straight from the PC version, and if you want to play in 4K, that’s the version you’ll have to play. Look for Just Cause 3 to release December 1st on Xbox One, PS4, and PC
