Tom Hardy’s ‘Fonzo’ Will Be Shooting In Vancouver

Jan 24, 2017

Ever since Deadline reported on the new Al Capone film Fonzo starring Tom Hardy and written/directed by Josh Trank we’ve been extremely curious about the project.

Alfonse Capone, the ruthless businessman, and bootlegger who ruled Chicago with an iron fist before being famously taken down by Eliot Ness. After nearly a decade of imprisonment, dementia rots his mind and his past becomes present as harrowing memories of his violent and brutal origins melt into his waking life.

New information has popped up revealing yet another shooting location for the period gangster flick. We’ve discovered that Vancouver production site What’s Filming? has recently listed the Josh Trank film and it will be shooting scenes in the area starting in May.

Previously, we learned that Fonzo would also be shooting in other locations including Atlanta and New Orleans.

Fonzo currently doesn’t have a release date.
