Now confirming Revenge of the Fans‘s scoop, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the full voice cast of Amazon and Robert Kirkman’s eight-episode, hour-long animated series. Also, the show is based on Kirkman’s comic of the same name.
Here are the cast members from the Revenge of the Fans scoop:
- Zazie Beetz (‘Atlanta,’ ‘Deadpool 2,’ ‘Joker’)
- Clancy Brown (‘SpongeBob SquarePants,’ ‘Avengers Assemble,’ ‘Thor: Ragnarök’)
- Chris Diamantopoulos (‘Mickey Mouse,’ ‘Ducktales,’ ‘Voltron: Legendary Defender’)
- Gillian Jacobs (‘Community,’ ‘Love,’ ‘Weird City’)
- Jason Mantzoukas (‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ ‘The Good Place,’ ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’)
- Khary Payton (‘Teen Titans,’ ‘The Walking Dead,’ ‘Young Justice’)
- Andrew Rannells (‘Big Mouth,’ ‘A Simple Favor,’ ‘Black Monday’)
- Zachary Quinto (‘Star Trek,’ ‘American Horror Story,’ ‘NOS4A2’)
- Steven Yeun (‘The Walking Dead,’ ‘Final Space,’ ‘Sorry to Bother You’)
Here are the new additions from THR’s article:
- Melise (‘The Vampire Diaries,’ ‘The Flash,’ ‘The Shannara Chronicles’)
- Max Burkholder (‘Family Guy,’ ‘American Dad!,’ ‘Parenthood’)
- Walton Goggins (‘Justified,’ ‘Vice Principals,’ ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’)
- Grey Griffin (‘Avengers Assemble,’ ‘The Loud House,’ ‘Mortal Kombat’)
- Mark Hamill (‘Batman: Mask of the Phantasm,’ ‘Knightfall,’ ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’)
- Sandra Oh (‘Sideways,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy, ‘Killing Eve’)
- Kevin Michael Richardson (‘Lilo & Stitch,’ ‘The Simpsons,’ ‘Young Justice’)
- Seth Rogen (‘Kung Fu Panda,’ ‘The Disaster Artist,’ ‘The Lion King’)
- J.K. Simmons (‘Spider-Man,’ ‘Whiplash,’ ‘Counterpart’)
- Mae Whitman (‘DC Super Hero Girls,’ ‘Young Justice,’ ‘Good Girls’)
Surely, this is one of the most stunning lineups for voice casting in quite some time. Amazon is going all in one this one!
However, missing from THR’s article are Brown, Payton, and Quinto, so we will have to see if they end up in the show.
Meanwhile, the roles are currently undisclosed for everyone except Yeun and Simmons.
The premise (now updated with actors) is below:
“Mark Grayson (Yeun) is a normal teenager, except for the fact that his father Omni-Man (Simmons) is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his 17th birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters into his father’s tutelage. The series is suspenseful, action-filled and emotion-packed, yet builds upon poignant and heartwarming moments of love, friendship and humanity.”
Moreover, Kirkman’s Skybound is producing, with Simon Racioppa (‘Teen Titans’) is the showrunner. Additionally, Kirkman, Racioppa, David Alpert (‘The Walking Dead’) and Catherine Winder (‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’) are executive producers. Further, Justin and Chris Copeland (‘Ultimate Spider-Man’) will serve as supervising directors.
‘Invincible’ will premiere sometime in 2020 on Amazon.
