We’ve figured that we might never see Bad Boys 3 aka Bad Boys For Life happen, but there is sign that things are coming together. Trades had previously reported a potential summer start possibly in August, but that seems not to be the case as it’s been pushed to winter of next year as we expected.
Omega Underground has learned they are now aiming for a February production start in Miami and Atlanta.
Marcus Burnett [Martin Lawrence] is a private eye after a falling out with Mike Lowery [Will Smith]. Mike is going through a midlife crisis as a bachelor who finally wants to mature, all while dealing with a new a young and cocky partner. Lowery and Burnett are brought together when an Albanian mercenary with a vendetta puts a death order on their heads.
It would make sense Bad Boys 3 would align with the filming of Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey movie, which is set to begin filming on January 15th in Los Angeles. Before Smith and Robbie eventually reunite for Suicide Squad 2.
We reported a while back that cinematographer Benoît Debie and production designer Stijn Verhoeven are already attached to the film’s crew.
Sony has set the film’s release date for January 17, 2020.
