It was revealed recently that a Harley Quinn centric Birds of Prey (expected to introduce Batgirl before solo film) movie would be taking Suicide Squad 2‘s production spot and would likely then shoot after Prey wrapped.
While it looked like Suicide Squad 2 was eyeing a UK shoot we’ve now learned they will instead return production to Toronto, where they shot the first movie and are currently filming Shazam.
Best guess would be a production start in winter or spring of next year.
Gavin O’Connor is set to direct but a cast has yet to be confirmed.
Suicide Squad 2 is currently without production or release dates.
