Earlier in the month, we mentioned on Twitter that Sony’s Venom aka Antidote movie could be spending some production time in San Francisco, California. Adding to the rumbling was a recent casting call seeking ‘SAN FRAN STYLE” extras we posted.
Can’t confirm this, but VENOM might have a scene or sequence set in SAN FRANCISCO. Just thought I’d share. pic.twitter.com/L8ovmfd54m

Well, this has been further backed-up via a new production listing for Venom which adds San Francisco to the locations for the film. This is by no means complete confirmation but something to consider when Peter Parker is active on the East Coast, having Brock chilling on the West Coast could explain his absence in the film. The listing also confirms our previous reporting that production begins on October 23rd.
Other cities that production will take place in as we’ve previously reported include Atlanta and New York City. The Spider-Man spinoff will wrap filming sometime in February.
California has been attracting large studio productions with new tax incentives. Marvel’s Ant-Man and it’s sequel Ant-Man & The Wasp are also shot in Atlanta with exterior scenes shot in San Francisco (which is the setting of those films).
Venom is set for release on October 5th, 2018.
