Overview
Vimeo has released a suite of generative AI tools to assist content creators in writing, recording and editing videos. The tools include a scriptwriter, text-based editor and teleprompter. Users describe the type of video they want to create, including the tone and length, and the AI composes a script for approval. Once approved, the script is displayed on the screen to help performers maintain eye contact with the camera. Vimeo claims that videos can be produced and uploaded in a fraction of the usual time by using the AI tools. The feature will roll out in July as part of Vimeo’s subscription service.
