THR reports that Vincent D’Onofrio will play the main villain in Epix’s Godfather of Harlem.

The series is based on the real-life New York City gangsters of the 1960’s with Forest Whitaker playing the main role of Bumpy Johnson fresh from prison to find his operation is being muscled-in by rival Italian mobster Vincent Gigante.

Omega Underground has previously reported that filming is expected to begin tomorrow in NYC and wrap on February 13th of next year.

There is an assumption it could be ready to air sometime in late 2019.
