Today, Deadline announced that The Hateful Eight & Tomb Raider star Walton Goggins has joined that cast of Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp. He joins the cast of Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lily as the Wasp, Michael Douglas, Michael Peña, T.I. and most recently Randall Park. His role is being kept under wraps like in true Marvel fashion however the site states he could be revealed at Marvel’s 90-min panel this Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is set to play the main villain like Taskmaster (who’s rights reverted back to Marvel) in the film but that’s pure speculation…
Last year our own Christopher Marc fan cast Goggins for Moon Knight if a Marvel/Netflix series was ever announced based off that character.
In other news…Our friends over at That Hashtag Show revealed that Marvel is looking for an intelligent African-American actor between 50-60s. They deduce that this could be the role of Dr. Bill Foster or commonly known as Goliath. Ant-Man and the Wasp will finish up production this November in Atlanta.
