Warner Bros. has hired newcomers Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald to write a horror-based screenplay ‘The Trench.’ It will be focused on the titular deadly amphibious creatures from ‘Aquaman.’
Gardner and Fitzgerald were assistants at JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot. The duo made the unreleased ‘The Volos,’ a submarine thriller.
Moreover, there are not many details on the film, but it will be in the kingdom of the Trench and will not feature the main cast of ‘Aquaman.’
The plan is to make it on a modest budget, when compared to the other DCEU films. James Wan and Peter Safran are producing.
Further, there is no director, but it will most likely arrive before ‘Aquaman 2,’ perhaps even arriving in in September 2021.
