Warner Brothers Looking To Reboot ‘The Matrix’; Michael B. Jordan Eyed To Star as Morpheus

Mar 15, 2017

In yet another attempt to reboot a film franchise; The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Warner Brothers are looking to reboot the cult classic series The Matrix. The film directed by The Wachowskis is considered one of the best sci-fi martial art films of the new millennium. They go on to say while The Wachowskis are not involved with the project they hope the directing duo will give their blessing on the project and maybe even produce it. Screenwriter Zak Penn (Elektra) is going to pen the project which again is in very early stages.

However, the studio is looking at Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Black Panther) to possibly star as Morpheus originally played by Laurence Fishburne. No offer has been made and without a completed script don’t hold your breathe that Jordan will even sign on. With this new movie project in the works, the long-rumored TV series set in the universe has been put on the back burner.

The Matrix Reboot has no set release date
