This is a new feature. In addition to a 2v2 scenario, you also get the opportunity to interact with an NPC known as the Jailer. Another new feature is the chance to loot weapons.
As a result of these changes to the latest version of the game, it means that both teams have the ability to choose to fight the jailer rather than fight each other.
If you manage to achieve the task of killing the jailer, your reward is that all four players get to return to the match.
The role of AI soldiers in the game
You will notice that there is an AI faction that patrols the Al Mazrah map. They are there to protect Strongholds and Black Sites.
It is worth noting that you have the option of attacking them or not engaging with these AI soldiers as they have not been designed to actively pursue you.
Let’s also talk about Strongholds and Black Sites.
As already stated, the AI soldiers won’t challenge you even when you attempt to capture a Stronghold. If you do manage to achieve your mission and capture a Stronghold your reward will be a sizable amount of loot. In addition, you get to acquire one of your custom weapons for free at a buying station.
You will see that Black Sites tend to pose more of a danger to your survival compared to a Stronghold, even though they are essentially the same. Black Sites give you a permanent Weapon Blueprint reward. They also give you extra valuable in-match items if you manage to clear them out.
You will have to obtain a Black Site key to get these extra rewards. It is only available to the first team to clear one of the active strongholds.
Look out for some vehicle mechanics enhancements
As you would expect, Warzone 2 has its fair share of vehicles within the game. There are some mechanics that have been introduced as part of the launch of this latest version. Here are some of the notable upgrades and changes to look out for.
It is now possible to lean out of the window of the vehicle you are in to take shots at the enemy. That’s not all, you will also be able to actually climb out and onto the roof for a better vantage point to shoot at your adversaries.
