WB Looking To Begin Shooting ‘Suicide Squad 2’ In March

Oct 25, 2017

Warner Bros. are going to be busy in 2018. They have Shazam! starting production in February and Patty Jenkins is expected to begin filming Wonder Woman 2 in June.

Now, we’ve learned from a recent production listing that director Gavin O’Connor might be getting ready for a Suicide Squad 2 production start in mid-March.

This is earlier than previously expected, many believed a shoot next fall was more likely. While the first film shot a lot in Toronto, it’s unlikely they’d overlap a shoot while Shazam! is filming there until May.

Keep in mind, this is by no means official. It should be noted we previously reported that Will Smith’s Gemini Man aka Omega shoots February-July in Atlanta which would conflict with Suicide Squad 2. As far as we know Smith plans on returning.

The studio has yet to announce a release date but a 2019 date is assumed.
