(NOTE: This is a refresher from Radiant Black #15, along with a spoiler-free review of Radiant Black #16. If you didn’t actually read Radiant Back #15 yet, read that before checking out this week’s issue.)
If you haven’t seen the video Kyle Higgins and company put together to go along with Radiant Black #15, make sure you check it out below. Truly amazing all the cool things they’re doing to enhance the Massive-verse.
The Robot
It’s been a little while since Marshall has heard from “The Robot,” but Nathan had a quick convo with the cryptic machine this issue. Directly from this conversation, Nathan and readers learn two things: Marshall is Radiant Black until he dies, and “The Robot” isn’t all-knowing. Also, this conversation adds to the underlying tension between Nathan and Marshall.
Higgins and Costa have long been laying a foundation for Marshall to turn heel. It’s never been in-your-face, but it’s definitely there. A growing rift between the original Radiant Black and the new Radiant Black only leans into that further.
Shift
One of the newer additions to the Massive-verse is making quite the reputation for himself. Featured in Image! and Radiant Red, Shift is quickly becoming a major player. He’s only seen briefly in this issue, but his presence magnifies the potential of Doppler, who was at the center of Radiant Black #15.

This is one of the most action-packed issues of Radiant Black yet. And Marco Costa wasn’t the only one ready to go to work this issue. One look at the cover and you know Shift has some serious $*#& planned.
But regardless of whatever you may think is coming, you aren’t ready for Radiant Black #16. There have been a lot of issues that left readers on the edge of their seat, and this cliff-hanger is right there with the best of them.
