What you need to know about Arena?

SOONER OR LATER, MANY PLAYERS REACH THE MAXIMUM LEVEL. FOR SUCH PLAYERS, THE MOMENT COMES TO TRY THEIR HAND AT THE ARENA.

The arena in World of Warcraft is the place where PvP battles take place. There, players from all servers can compare their skills and abilities. However, this is not only an opportunity to show off, but also a way to gain benefits useful in a PvE game. But first things first.

What you need to know about Arena?

In addition to arenas in World of Warcraft, there is another type of PvP zone – Battlegrounds. The main feature of the arenas is that they are designed for team fights, and these teams are officially formed. That is, a group of players that has its own symbol and name. The goal of all teams is only one – the complete elimination of the enemy team.

There are three options for the layout of battles by the number of players – two against two, and three against three. In all cases, wide open spaces are open for cooperation and the creation of group combinations. There are twelve variants of the playing field, and each time it is chosen randomly. Players can use the features of the environment, buildings and unusual terrain for their own purposes – for example, hide behind a column to break line of sight to their enemies. In these zones, teams are selected based on the equivalent rating. Here skill and experience of the participants are main factors that determine the outcome. However, rating is important not only for the formation of teams.

Arena boosting is when a player’s account is upgraded by a more experienced player. They participate in fights for the boostee, who receives all rewards and credit. There are common cases where a player can hire a team of boosters in order to get a PvP rating boost. 3v3 arena boost is in high demand.

Advantages of ratings and titles

Different players visit the arena for different purposes – some for the opportunity to compete with other players, some for a break from the “main game”, and some for gear. All this is tied to the rating system and arena points.

Rating measures the success of teams, and is awarded based on battle results. At the same time, the difference in its indicator is taken into account – a team with a lower rating receives more points for winning against opponents with a higher one, but not vice versa. There are seasons of matches within the arena system, representing themselves as team competitions. For several months in a row, the teams fight and earn a rating, after which the winner is announced and the entire arena scoreboard is reset. Winners of the season are awarded with mounts and titles. The highest title is “Rank 1 Gladiator”. Next come “gladiator”, “duelist”, “rival”, and “challenger”.

Team members also receive “Conquest Points” for winning the arena. These points serve as additional currency, and the player exchanges them for equipment or item upgrades for their character. Conquest points can also be obtained for completing weekly quests, but participation in duels is still the main source of income. Also, some gear items are blocked until a certain rating is reached (the rating itself is not spent on obtaining it). However, many players don’t like PvP, or think that they won’t be able to find a decent team due to their lack of PvP experience. As a result, boosts are widely used.
